Dining at
The East Wind Guesthouse

Seasonal dinners. Thoughtful ingredients. A beautiful table set with intention.

At The East Wind Guesthouse, dinner is not an add-on. It is part of the experience of being here.

While lobster is served throughout Nova Scotia in its traditional form,

my kitchen prepares lobster differently — as thoughtful composed dishes inspired by

the season and ingredients growing in our greenhouse. Occasionally this becomes a special lobster-focused

dinner prepared for guests who wish to experience it.

I cook seasonally, drawing from the garden and my greenhouse.

Fresh salad greens, tomatoes and herbs. Tart rhubarb that finds its way to compotes and tarts.

Our bountiful coast for fish and shellfish - what always feels right in the moment.

Menus shift with the light — fresh and vibrant in spring, generous and layered in autumn.

The table is always set with care, colour, and collected pieces that reflect the character of my house.

Dining at The East Wind is part of the experience of staying here.

Each evening is prepared with care and served in a relaxed setting

where conversation flows easily and the pace of the island sets the tone.
